I’m super excited to share this week’s newsletter with you because it is a BIG dose of fun! My best friend has been my best friend since we were 13 years old. We talk frequently and lately I’ve noticed a recurring theme pop up in our conversations. One of us seems to constantly be saying “I’m sick of adulting.” As kids we were eager to grow up, and then as adults we crave those carefree childhood days… such is life.
So in the spirit of channeling our carefree selves, we asked some of the Temple team to create a scheme for their dream childhood bedrooms, hence "Tiny Temple Dream Schemes.” We hope these schemes inspire you to unleash your inner tiny design self and take a break from adulting!

When I was a kid, my favorite dolls were Bratz dolls. I loved their unique expressive clothing and accessories. I chose some of our funkier patterns that I felt would fit right into the Bratz universe. Although my parents would never have let me decorate my own bedroom like this, the scheme perfectly encapsulates the Bratz room of my dreams.

I was really indecisive as a kid and probably would’ve had a hard time picking my dream bedroom! I definitely would’ve wanted giant, fluffy pillows, a soft rug, and lots of blues and greens. I picked some soft, calming neutrals, with some pretty accents to add color and keep it all feeling young and sweet.

Patterns and colors were my childhood obsession (especially botanicals). I loved to clash patterns with my clothing in a way that my mom would never let me do with my room. I would’ve loved to have a space that reflected my playful and creative side, so I schemed my ultimate fantasy of this!

Growing up, I always loved Valentine's Day. The colors, the flowers, the celebration of love...the candy! My Tiny Temple room is inspired by Valentine's Day, with the candy-coated colors of my dreams and the floral motifs that represent a beautiful Love Day Bouquet.

In planning my dream childhood bedroom, I created a scheme inspired by my favorite childhood colors: green, blue, and purple. To me, these colors inspire playfulness and creativity, but they’re versatile enough to still work together as I mature. I wanted to create a space that is lively and youthful, but would also be a sanctuary for years to come.
