Last month, Lauren Emerson and Genevieve Hewson, the talented designers behind Walter G, journeyed stateside from Australia to celebrate the launch of two brand new wallpapers — Saqqara in Limestone and Kanoko in Limestone — along with new color offerings of beloved fabrics, Bombay (Shell) and Amer (Elm).

To mark this occasion, Lauren and Genevieve threw a block printing party at the studio. Friends from our design community swung by for breakfast and a chance to try their hand at block printing. With the ladies of Walter G at the helm, we learned about this storied technique, we were challenged in getting the colors to translate off of the block, and we experimented with how much pressure to apply when printing…it is not easy!
