This week’s newsletter is dedicated to all things Halloween. Since we had so much fun doing our Tiny Temple Dream Schemes a little while back, we conjured up another homage to the carefree days, the candy-filled dreams, and of course the spookiest schemes.

This time around, we asked the Temple team to create a scheme that is based on their favorite Halloween candy from their trick-or-treating days. Don’t be scared though, the schemes are stylish, the costumes are adorable (the team also sent in pics of their favorite costumed memories), and the nostalgia for Halloween's past is so real

Whether you’re watching a scary movie, handing out candy, or making the rounds with the kids — we hope you enjoy.

      Happy Halloween, friends!

When I was younger, cinnamon was my favorite. Gum, toothpaste, candy...if there was cinnamon flavored anything, I was all over it. My favorite thing about Atomic Fireballs is that I never had to trade any other candies for it — everyone would just hand them over. Perks of liking the unusual!

Halloween was by far my favorite holiday growing up. Every year, I spent hours cutting and painting cardboard, carving foam tombstones, and draping gauze over my family’s porch to create the best haunted house I could. Of course, once the porch lights came on and the Sour Patch Kids came out on the 31st, I was quick to abandon my creation and disappear into sour candy heaven.

My favorite memory of Halloween is that there was a house in my neighborhood that would take pictures of all the trick-or-treaters who visited them. They would then get the photos developed, and pin all of them to boards the next year so you could go look for the picture of you and your friends to take home with you! A bonus memory is that my siblings and I would always lay out all of our candy when we got back from trick or treating and trade everything.

As kids, Halloween was the one day where imagination ruled. Growing up in Larchmont, NY, I'd roam the neighborhood in full costume, completely committed to the fantasy. Leather jacket, shades, tiny motorcycle — the whole deal.  Even back then, I guess I loved a good entrance. I loved Fruit Gushers Tropical Nightmare — bold, unexpected, and over the top — so I based my scheme around those colors.

Dressing up for Halloween was fun, but what I REALLY loved as a kid was the chocolate. Some of my favorite memories are sitting with my sisters after a trip through our neighborhood and comparing our candy hauls, trading for the best pieces. Kit Kats, Snickers, Milky Ways, 100 Grand Bars — as long as my bag was entirely full of chocolate, my night was a success.
